I and my family have this place absolutely LOVED! This is sure to eat the place in Saarburg! The staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful, we loved our experience! The food is also very good and of very high quality without doubt! I had the Schnitzel, the chicken burger, Pommes and the beer. All you can see in the pictures that are included. 100% recommended!

Before we left Belgium for our summer vacation, which we were not even sure we had to do with the pandemic, we dreamed of a hearty German meal. Luckily we made it to Saarburg and wonders, restaurants were a leap again! If you are looking for a simple, heartwarming German cuisine, this is definitely a place to stop. My husband had the game sausage with sauerkraut and cheese mash, which was absolutely delicious. My youngest and I both went for the Chesespätzle what I confess is some of the best I ever had. Be warned, but the adult part of it is huge. As tasty as it was, I couldn't finish mine. My elders, recently vegetarians, had the vegetable burger with fries. It was delicious and had a nice slightly spicy kick. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Our waiter was incredibly personal and had a nice sense of humor. Here you can find exterior and interior seats. Before you come, make sure to stop at an ATM. It's just cash. Very recommended!

Had a carving with mushroom sauce and chips as the main course and Kaiserscharrn for desert. The main course was simply not good, it had the gun in the crust, the chips were perfect, but tasteful, it was just not there, and the sauce was just terrible. The dessert was good, in retrospect, I wish I had the dessert. It consists of fried squares a mixture between pancakes and cakes with a serving of apple sauce. Great walk to the tho restaurant, with magnificent views and local wine. Would visit again with the knowledge from the first visit.

We accidentally saw this place on our hike and decided to come back to dinner later. We had the best cheeses ever.

Leaving Bernkastel we saw an advertisement of a restaurant high up on the hillside. It wasn’t all that easy to find or go to, but the view was the reward. Good service and the view probably made the (ordinary? food taste better than it was. Try the place out!

The owners are incredibly friendly and provide an excellent service. They made an effort to accommodate us English speakers with little knowledge of German. A wonderful place for a drink and a meal. It IS walkable from Bernkastel and well worth the slight climb up the vineyards.

Me and my wife have just come back from Bernkastel-Kues, we happened to stumble upon this little gem. We walked from the town had beers then onto the next town Traben-Trarbach. We were told that they would be having a beer festival the next day and we were more than welcome to come. What a fantastic evening we had. Ed Stevens' couple were playing and what brilliant music they played. All the local people treated us like family and could not have had a better time. Many thanks to all who were at the October Fest and the owners and staff... can't wait to go again!!!! THANK YOU XXXXX
