We stopped into the village of Bellingen on the way through to Dorrigo and looking for breakfast. We were lucky to stumble across The Purple Carrot. We sat outside in a sunny courtyard by the herb garden.The staff went out of their way to help, served delicious food to big city standards and even packed us lunch to go.

Great food and wine after a long day travelling and very accomodating of a very fussy eater .. we would love to recommend to others travelling to Bellingen
Have eaten here many times, love their menu for breakfast and dinner too. Best coffee in Bello, so nice in the courtyard on a sunny morning, nice relaxed feel.
This little gem, has excellent food and excellent service! Best Cafe in Bellingen, last visit, we got Turmeric lattes and cauliflower soup!!
I came here for both lunch and dinner. The experience for dinner was particularly great - Steven and Alex were extremely hospitable and friendly, I got on with them both very well and had a lovely chat. Steven told me that he could make me up something if there wasn't something on the (large) menu to suit (there was already plenty that looked great). I was on an extremely tight budget and went for the cheapest thing on the menu, the pumpkin soup. It was thick and delicious and there was great live music which I enjoyed outside with the warmth of a heater. I would definitely recommend this place and I got amazing value for money.
Great service, coffee perfect and food was delicious! I ordered (and highly recommend) the Locally Smoked Trout and Potato Rosti. We sat outside to soak up the beautiful sunny morning while we enjoyed our breakfast.
Had the BLT and it was fresh and delicious. Friendly staff and a really good menu with loads of healthy and nutritious options.
We visited on a Friday night and were entertained by a live band - lovely food and good service. Definitely recomment
